People in Britain can expect a heatwave this summer. According to the weather forecast, July to September will be warmer than average after the hottest June in 100 years.
Wow! I look forward to that. The weather during the last five or so years has been hugely disappointing as far as summer days go. I've almost forgotten what excess heat feels like. Our home is set amidst trees to the west, which block out all the scorching afternoon rays. That's nearly as good as going to the beach. More of that later.
Despite a weekend of torrential rain which soaked campers at the Glastonbury Festival, temperatures could be hotter than Rio by Friday.

After the singing was over, an estimated 175,000 revelers trudged home through the mud. Today, a humongous clean-up operation began at the 1,200-acre Glasto site in Somerset, where more than 800 litter-pickers moved in to clear up Worthy Farm.
People face the task of removing more than 1,650 tonnes of waste including 5,000 abandoned tents. 49 per cent of last year's waste was recycled but organizers are aiming to top that average this year. Tractors with magnetic strips will pick up tent pegs from the site while workers will walk the ground to make sure no inch of the land goes unchecked. They will search for stray tent pegs as cows grazing the site have died in previous years after eating them. Once the site is clear, the field will be returned to grazing dairy cows.
But the music festival is over. Let's think about the coming summer.
Sun lovers, leave your everyday hassles behind and pick up a book about the fresh air at the beach in Cornwall, England. Tour the historic town of St. Ives with Liliha.
Hovering in my crystal ball above the spume, I present two books in the Moonstone series.
