Had enough of sagging jowls?

Well, I have. Okay. I'm old. I accept my humanity. Nothing is surer, barring accident or disease—we are born, we grow, we mature, we die. The world's population is living longer which means more people are old right now than ever before. These people, me among them, want to look as good as they can.

I hate to think of the growing numbers of people who resort to surgery to retain their looks. Then they get addicted to more and more procedures. What are they thinking? What most patients achieve is repulsive and doesn't resemble beauty in my eyes.

But I wanted to find the best way to get rid of the jowls beginning to appear from the corners of my mouth down to my chin. Apparently, face skin without muscle tone or collagen underneath it has a tendency to slump and wrinkle. The burning question in my mind is how best to eradicate hanging cheeks and rejuvenate wilting jowls.

I checked the internet for exercises that would help to firm my skin. I already practice a daily routine first thing in the morning, so I can slot more exercises in.

I found a great one. It's simple too, and could be done at any time when I'm relaxing. Here's the link if you want to watch a video.  I found it a bit too long and simple.

What it boils down to is using two pressure points on the face.

1.       Place your forefingers just under the cheek bone in line with the top of your ears and your eyes.

2.       Use circular movements for about 1 min. daily.

3.       Place your forefingers on the jaw joint with your mouth slightly open.

4.       Use circular movements for about 1 min. daily.

You may experience tightness in the muscles for a day or two, but that will pass. The increased blood flow will stimulate muscles and tighten the area. Wilting jowls and hefty cheeks will be firmer and raised. I'm in. How about you?

Anything that will help me look good without using invasive surgery has to be good. What's the use of worrying about an impending war? Experts can try to heal the rift between countries. I'll concentrate on making my personal world a better place.

I'm so in Francine! Great post to keep our jowls from drooping without all that expensive and invasive surgery!

Great, Peggy. My husband and I made a pact to do the exercises together every evening while watching TV.

Not quite ready to need it, but I'm with you on doing things that don't require surgery. Great post and information to have!

Blessed are the young, for they think age will never catch them. ;-)

Don't buy in to what society says is 'beautiful'!

I guess you're referring to plastic surgery.
Because, nobody would think jowls are beautiful.

Hello Francene!
I don't think I'd ever consider plastic surgery. So many people look worse after it! I am about 99% certain that I'm going to go ahead with having 'Maxillo-facial' surgery.

Thanks for that! Now, how do I remember to do it?!
